Your Farmers
Meet Belinda
I never knew being a flower farmer was even a path when I left school. I grew up in a country town before heading to the city, determined to build a good life. I worked hard, gave everything I had, and became very good at what I did—but over time, the pace took its toll. Quietly, burnout found its way in, and my mind and body began asking for something different.
Moving to Cedar Creek Farm changed everything.
Here, life has softened. It has given me the space to slow down, to work with my hands in the soil, and to create a life that feels more balanced and true. It’s in the everyday moments—time shared in the garden with my mum, grandmother, and mother-in-law, and raising my children surrounded by nature—that I’ve found what matters most.
Motherhood has deepened my connection to the land and my desire to care for it. The seasons continue to teach me about patience, growth, and trust—allowing things to unfold in their own time. I’m always learning, always tending, and always grateful as I step outside each day for the life we are building here—for our family, for our community, and for generations to come.
What began as a simple wish to grow fruit and vegetables has gently grown into something much more meaningful: growing flowers for mental health.
Cedar Creek Farm is a place for connection, play, and joy—a space where children can roam freely, where adults can exhale, and where everyone is invited to feel held by the beauty of the land.
Alongside the farm, I am also a lover of photography. After studying in Sydney, I now offer photography sessions here on the farm, capturing honest, heartfelt moments—families just as they are, held together by love, laughter, and the land.
Cedar Creek Farm Hunter Valley brings me a deep sense of happiness.
I hope, when you visit, it offers you a feeling of calm, joy, and belonging too.

His success has always come from doing things properly — with care, integrity, and pride. He’s someone who is always willing to learn, adapt, and evolve in today’s ever-changing world.
Ryan’s love for flowers and gardens began in childhood. His mum, Barbara, was a well-known florist in her day, and his dad, Cliff — a retired professional fireman and lifelong gardener — passed down a deep respect for hard work and the land.
Farm life is second nature to Ryan. He has a lifelong love of animals and has shown, ridden, and even driven donkeys — both for fun and competitively. He was once president of a local carriage driving club, something I still smile about, amazed that someone my own age was out there driving carriages.
Above all else, Ryan loves seeing people enjoy Cedar Creek Farm and watching our children grow up on the land. His heart is in this place, and in the life we are building together.

Over the years, Ryan has been recognised with multiple garden awards, and his work includes landmark projects that have truly stood the test of time.

Our Farm
What began as a simple idea—planting a few fruit trees and growing a vegetable garden to feed our family, save a little money, and truly know where our food came from—slowly grew into something much more.
Along the way, we discovered just how deeply flowers made us feel. There was a sense of peace in working with the land, a quiet joy in being outside, hands in the soil. And so, the dream gently shifted—into growing flowers, caring for the farm with intention, and sharing that feeling of calm and connection with others.
When we first arrived, the farm was simply a house with a pool and a run-down fence. Weathered buildings stood quietly, and a scattered pile of old timber remained where a sawmill once operated. Our neighbour Brenda shared memories of walking through the market garden as a child, picking fruit on her way to school. Today, that same space has come back to life—now home to our market garden and flower-picking field.
With a clear vision, and inspired by the character of the existing barn, we began working with what the land had already given us. Old timber found around the property was thoughtfully repurposed—rebuilt into fences, workspaces, and structures that honour the past while shaping the future of the farm.
Today, the farm is alive again.
It is a working farm—one grounded in growth, care, and connection. A place where people can wander through flowers, meet the animals, and feel the rhythm of the land around them. A place to slow down, to breathe, and to reconnect—with nature, with others, and with themselves.
There is something truly special in watching families and guests experience the farm—seeing the joy, the stillness, and the sense of belonging it brings. It is a feeling we hold close, and one we are so grateful to share.
LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED.
